Calendar of Events
Annual Dinner
Each year the Fostoria Area Chamber of Commerce
hosts an annual dinner celebrating another year of
service to local businesses as well as showing
appreciation of our member investors. In
conjunction with the dinner, the Chamber produces a
Cat’s Meow commemorative train collectible.
The series began in 2006 with the locomotive
at the depot, sponsored by Fostoria Industries.
In 2007, First Ohio Credit Union sponsored
the coal car. The
2008 piece, sponsored by American Electric Power,
was the familiar box car and in 2009, Mennel Milling
Co. sponsored the pressure differential railcar.
The series concludes in 2010 with the
traditional red B&O caboose, co-sponsored by the
Chamber, the Fostoria Area Visitors Bureau and the
Fostoria Rail Preservation Society. All of the
commemorative train pieces are available for
purchase at the Chamber office.

Business After Hours
Business After Hours is a monthly mixer all about
networking. It is also a great way of providing our
members with the opportunity to promote their goods
and services and bring people into their facility.
Business After Hours (BAH) is a great way to find
out what's happening in the local business community
and lets Chamber members network and meet some of
their best potential clients.
The
monthly event is a great benefit to the host
business because it gives the opportunity to show
other members exactly what they are all about. BAH
gives other Chamber Members the chance to meet and
exchange business cards, make new client contacts
and meet new business people.
The
Chamber will provide for the host: Advertising;
announcement in Chamber Chatter and FYI Newsletter
(depending on date event was scheduled), Mailings to
all Chamber members and/or all area business at
request of the host. The host provides
the pre-printed flyers to the Chamber and covers the
cost of postage. In order for mailings to be sent,
event must be scheduled at least one month prior to
event date.

Chamber Staff will handle registration and provide
nametags.

A
list of guests in attendance, if desired.

Advertising of the BAH in the monthly e-newsletters,
and press releases to the local media if desired.

Building Blocks of Success
Building
Blocks of Success seminars are hosted every other
month and feature informative speakers to help you
succeed in your business.

media, strategic planning, and more -- coming soon!
Ambassadors
Ambassadors act as a member
liaison with the Chamber, welcome new businesses or
agencies to the community by attending Chamber
Ribbon Cuttings and other Chamber functions as well
as answer questions about the Chamber. The
Ambassadors are the public relations arm of the
Chamber and are volunteer leaders who promote and
represent the Chamber at all official functions.
Ambassadors are instrumental in promoting Chamber
initiatives throughout our community.

Ladies Golf Classic
& Caddy Review
Event Flyer
Each
June the Chamber hosts the Ladies Golf Classic and Caddy
Revue. Teams of three ladies join together to
participate in this fun event. Each team of ladies bids
on their choice of caddy in the Caddy Auction.
That’s right, a Caddy Auction!
This
is a great event for anyone interesting in having a fun
morning on the links. Open to golfers and non golfers
alike!

Chamber Golf Classic
For
over 30 years the Chamber has hosted this traditional
tournament at the Fostoria Country Club. The Golf
Classic hosts approximately 120 golfers each year.
As the largest golf tournament in the
Fostoria
area, this event delivers the opportunity to combine
business with relaxation.
